Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent overheating operation and liquid compression of a higher pressure side compressor by attaching a small-sized and low weight gas cooling device which is capable of enhancing a mixing performance between high temperature gas and evaporative low temperature liquid discharged from a low stage- side compressor of a multistage compressor and cooling with higher efficiency to a refrigeration compressor in a compact structure.
CONSTITUTION: In a low stage-high temperature discharge gas cooling device of a refrigeration multi-stage compressor, a porous board 9 is spirally installed into a cylindrical body 6 which has a low stage-side discharge gas inlet 7 on one end where an evaporative low temperature liquid pipeline 8 having a flow out hole 11 on the inlet side is installed into the cylindrical body at a position deviated from the center of the cylinder by way of the porous board 9, thereby constituting a small sized gas cooling device which forms a flow passage which can change a spiral-shaped flow passage cross section area and generate a high speed turning eddy current and mix the gas with a low temperature liquid which flows down on the porous board 9 as a liquid film with high efficiency, thereby cooling the high temperature gas.
