To obtain a refrigerator in which the inner temperature of the refrigeration chamber can be controlled effectively by sensing the actual inner temperature of the refrigeration chamber accurately and quickly and when any one of first and second temperature sensors malfunctions, the malfunctioning temperature sensor can be replaced or repaired or operation of a temperature regulator can be controlled by the other temperature sensor.

The refrigerator comprises a first temperature sensor for sensing the temperature in the refrigeration chamber roughly; a second temperature sensor located separately from the first temperature sensor and sensing the actual temperature in a refrigeration chamber; and a control section for controlling a temperature regulator according to the temperature sensed by the second temperature sensor, when the temperature sensed by the first temperature sensor falls within the set temperature range of the refrigeration chamber, and the temperature sensed by the second temperature sensor is different from the temperature sensed by the first temperature sensor and does not fall within the set temperature range.
