Abstract:
To provide a refrigerator capable of displaying a free space in the refrigerator.SOLUTION: A refrigerator comprises: an imaging device which picks up an image of the inside of a storage room; image storage means which stores the image picked up by the imaging device and a reference image; image analysis means which compares and analyzes the image picked up by the imaging device and the reference image; computing means which computes a storage state of the storage room on the basis of an analysis result of the image analysis means; and display means, and a display part is configured to display the empty capacity or empty space of the storage room on the basis of a computation result of the computing means. Consequently, a user can accurately know the empty capacity or empty space of the storage room through the display part, and purchase foods according to the empty space, thereby preventing the user from purchasing foods too much and filling the storage room with the foods too much. Consequently, cooling efficiency can be prevented from decreasing as the storage room is filled too much.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 33
