To provide a refrigerator with a footlight that can be turned on near a bed in a hospital or the like without switching operation by a person for lighting it, put on as an emergency light during electric power failure, and used as an inside lamp for the refrigerator.

The footlight for illuminating a floor surface is mounted on a front surface part of the refrigerator, the footlight is used as the inside lamp for illuminating the inside of the refrigerator in a state of opening a door, a human sensor is mounted on the refrigerator, so that the footlight is put on by the human sensor when the man approaches the refrigerator, and further an illuminance sensor is mounted, so that the footlight is put off by the illuminance sensor when the circumference of the refrigerator is well-lighted.
