To prevent insufficient cooling of a condenser by removing dust adhered to the condenser or the like, in a refrigerator having a duct provided at the bottom of a body with the condenser.
A refrigerator body 1 is provided at its bottom with a duct 2 having a front opening part 7 and a back opening part 9 and provided at its internal part with a condenser 13, a machine room 3 provided at its internal part with a compressor 5 and an vaporization tray 14, a fan 6, and an auxiliary fan 12. The fan 6 is run, the condenser 13 and the compressor 5 are cooled, the auxiliary fan 12 is run during a stop of the fan 6, and air is caused to flow in a reverse direction during running of the fan 6. This constitution removes dust, adhered to the condenser 13, through operation of the auxiliary fan 12, and maintains cooling capacity of a refrigerator in an optimum state.
