To solve such a problem that since a temperature detecting means is located in a passage in which cold air from an outlet port flows, the cold air supplied form the outlet port may inconveniently possibly come into contact with the temperature detecting means so that temperature lower than the aver age temperature of a refrigerator is apt to be detected and suitable temperature cannot be maintained in the refrigerator.
The refrigerator comprises a storage chamber 11 for accommodating materials to be stored, a cooler 25 for generating the cold air entering the storage chamber 11 and a cold air passage 27 for guiding the cold air to the storage chamber 11. An illuminating device 81 is provided in the vicinity of the center of the ceiling part of the storage chamber 11. The temperature detecting means 75 is provided in the side part of the illumination device 81.
