To provide a refrigerator capable of securely supplying refrigerant into an evaporator on one side even if rate of flow rate into the evaporator on one side is the minimum opening just before zero when restricting and adjusting flow rate of refrigerant into the evaporator on one side in accordancee with opening of a valve element.
A controller controls a refrigerating cycle device based on the detected state of a temperature sensor in a freezing chamber and a temperature sensor in a refrigerating chamber. Here, the controller adjusts flow rate of refrigerant into the refrigerating evaporator in a restriction condition by controlling opening of an adjusting valve so that overheat amount which is difference between outlet temperature and inlet temperature of the refrigerating evaporator becomes target overheat amount (shown by a broken line). In this case, since the adjusting valve is constituted to ensure the minimum rate of flow rate at the minimum opening just before full closing, it is possible to supply refrigerant to the refrigerating evaporator even at the minimum opening.
