To provide a refrigerator with reduced power consumption by increasing the radiating capacity of a condenser, for power saving, and improving the COP of a cooling cycle.
This refrigerator comprises a machine chamber 140, a first condenser 143, and a blower 142 forcedly ventilating the condenser 143. The condenser 143 includes a number of pipes 151 having fins 150. In the condenser 143, the pipes 151 are mutually superposed so as to form a substantially cylindrical internal space 152, and a space between the pipes 151 is formed so that the project planes in the pipe 151 diameter direction of the fins 150 attached to the adjacent pipes 151 are overlapped. Therefore, when the blower 142 is operated, the ventilation between the internal space and the outside of the first condenser 143 is promoted to increase the overall heat radiation quantity of the first condenser 143. Consequently, the compression ratio of the cycle is reduced to increase the cycle COP, and the power consumption of the refrigerator 101 can be reduced.
