To provide a refrigerator reducing contact of a humidity control member with liquid while securing sufficient contact of the humidity control member with cold air and achieving both maintenance of humidity control performance and securing of sanitation.
A humidity control unit 12 comprising the humidity control member 51 and a casing 52 storing the humidity control member 51 is mounted to a storage container in a vegetable compartment etc. of the refrigerator. The humidity control member 51 is formed by laminating a sheet-shaped non-woven fabric carrying moisture retaining particles and a permeable film. Since the humidity control member 51 is stored inside the casing 52, contact with liquid food is avoided by the casing 52 and sufficient contact with cold air made to flow via an opening 59 is achieved. Since the humidity control member 51 is stored in the casing 52, when dirt and liquid is adhered, the humidity control member 51 can be easily replaced. Therefore, sufficient contact of the humidity control member 51 with cold air is secured and contact of the humidity control member 51 with liquid is reduced, so as to achieve both maintenance of humidity control performance and securing of sanitation.
