To provide a refrigerator including a cover member for preventing illuminance of light emitted from a semiconductor light emitting element from being reduced even when the semiconductor light emitting element is tilted to emit light toward a depth side from an opening section of the refrigerator.
The refrigerator 100 includes a main housing 101 having an opening section at its front face, a semiconductor light emitting element 210 disposed on an inner wall of the main housing 101 and emitting the light into the main housing 101, and a cover member 220. The cover member 220 includes: a transmitting section 221 disposed so that a transmission axis A as an axis perpendicular to an outer surface of the transmitting section 221 facing an inner part of the main housing 101 is tilted to the depth side with respect to an inner wall axis C as an axis perpendicular to the inner wall face on which the semiconductor light emitting element 210 is disposed; and a supporting section 222 for supporting the transmitting section 221 to the main housing 101. The semiconductor light emitting element 210 is disposed so that an optical axis B faces the direction same as the transmission axis A or an opening section side with respect to the transmission axis A.
