To provide a refrigerator in which size of a mechanical chamber in the vertical direction is reduced as far as possible while preventing refrigerator oil in a compressor from flowing out into a suction pipe.
A refrigerator includes: a heat insulation box body; a mechanical chamber disposed on an upper rear part of the heat insulation box body; a compressor arranged in the mechanical chamber; an inlet pipe which is connected to the compressor; and a connection pipe which connects the inlet pipe with a suction pipe. Therein, the inlet pipe is arranged along the horizontal direction and the connection pipe is arranged along the horizontal direction as a whole. Further, the connection pipe is configured to have a bent part forming a U-shape which is extended in the front side, is curved in a U-shape and is extended in the rear side.
