Abstract:

To obtain a refrigerator that illuminates food drawn out or pulled from a storage chamber, while lighting up the inside of the storage chamber.

A refrigerator includes: a refrigerating chamber 5; one or more transparent shelves 20 partitioning vertically the inside of the refrigerating chamber 5; a first lighting device 30 provided forward of the substantial center in the depth direction of a ceiling 16 of the refrigerating chamber 5, to emit light directed forward of the refrigerating chamber 5 rather than right below; and a second lighting device 40 provided below any one of the transparent shelves 20 to emit light directed forward of the refrigerating chamber 5.
