To provide a refrigerator which carries out oil supply operation of a compressor in a revolution speed required for the oil supply in accordance with an ambient condition.
A refrigerator includes a compressor 12, a compressor control section 23 controlling the compressor 12, a temperature sensor 25 directly or indirectly detecting the temperature of the compressor 12, and a main control section 22 communicating with the compressor control section 23 on the basis of an input from the temperature sensor 25. A revolution speed is increased when the compressor 12 is at a temperature equal to or cooler than a predetermined temperature, and the revolution speed is decreased when the compressor 12 is at a temperature equal to or warmer than a predetermined temperature.
