Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator which efficiently radiates heat by suppressing temperature rise in the air to be sucked with a simple structure, even when the refrigerator is installed with its back surface and side surfaces being in contact with walls.SOLUTION: In a refrigerator, an upper surface of a machine chamber cover 42 for covering an upper machine chamber 36 provided at an upper part on the back surface of a heat insulation box body 31 is higher than an upper surface of the heat insulation box body 31, and top surface opening parts 49a provided on left and right of the upper surface of the upper machine chamber 36 are arranged at a position lower than the upper surface of the machine chamber cover 42. Thus, exhaust air of the upper machine chamber 36 can be guided to the front of the refrigerator 30 which is above the heat insulation box body 31, and likewise, the air in front can be introduced to the upper machine chamber 36 preferentially to the air above the machine chamber cover 42. Thus, even when the refrigerator is installed with its back surface and side surfaces being in touch with the housing walls, it can allow a compressor 39 to radiate heat efficiently by utilizing the space above the heat insulation box body 31, so that an installation space can be reduced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
