PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve heat transmission in a machine room of a refrigerator to save energy.SOLUTION: A refrigerator 10 includes: a heat insulation box body 11; a compressor 21 that is one of the components of a refrigeration cycle; a blower 23 for generating a wind with respect to the compressor 21; and a machine room 13 configured outside the heat insulation box body 11 and storing the compressor 21 and the blower 23. In the machine room 13, a shielding body 24 for shielding a wind oriented to the heat insulation box body 11 from the blower 23 is provided while having a prescribed distance from the heat insulation box body 11. The shielding body 24 is at least disposed in a region between the blower 23 and the compressor 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
