Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator which has enhanced a function of interior illumination without lowering quality.SOLUTION: An illumination unit 8 is provided on a side surface wall of storage chambers 3, 4 of a refrigerator body 1, and a cover 14 of the illumination unit includes a front surface cover part 14a which reaches an opening front end surface of the storage chamber, and an engaging rib 15 engaged with a pedestal 11 on the refrigerator body side is provided at a side surface cover part 14b of the cover. By engaging the engaging rib with the pedestal, the front surface cover part 14a of the cover is pulled into the opening front end surface side of the storage chamber. Thereby, when a door is opened, not only inside the storage chamber but also the opening front end surface of the storage chamber can be illuminated, floating of the front surface cover part and occurrence of mottling can be prevented, and a function of interior illumination can be enhanced without deteriorating quality.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
