Abstract:
To provide a refrigerator that can restrain microorganisms from adhering to fingers of a person via a handle part of a door of the refrigerator by inactivating the microorganisms adhering to a surface of the handle part while reducing an amount of ultraviolet light leaking to the outside of the handle part.SOLUTION: A refrigerator 1 comprises: a door for opening/closing a storage chamber; a handle part 20 provided in the door, and comprising a concave part 21 into which fingers of a person are inserted, and a finger hook part 22 on which the fingers inserted into the concave part 21 are hooked; and a light source 30 for applying light including ultraviolet light to the handle part 20. The light source 30 is provided at a position opposed to the finger hook part 22 in the concave part 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
