PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit the widening of a low temperature preservation chamber by a method wherein a temperature regulator, retained by a temperature regulator cover, is provided between the temperature regulator cover, projected out of the front surface of the low temperature preservation chamber, and an inner casing while the projected part of the temperature regulator into the direction of the inner casing is provided with a recessed configuration.
SOLUTION: A temperature regulator knob 7 is installed at a position nearer to the opening side of an inner casing 2 than a rack 11 while a temperature regulator 6 and the temperature regulator knob 7 are installed obliquely from the opening side of the inner casing 2. Pipelines 14 are arranged so as to avoid the projected part of the recessed cover 13 of an outer casing 1 and an aluminum tape 15 is bonded to the projected part of the recessed cover 13 while a temperature regulator cover 4 is arranged between the locus 24 of opening and closing of a refrigerating chamber door 20, opened and closed about the axis of a hinge, and the inner casing 2. The temperature regulator 6 is approached to the opening side of the refrigerator to facilitate the operation of the regulator 6. The temperature regulator 6 is installed in the recessed part of an inside casing wall to utilize a space between the locus 24 of the opening and closing of the door and the inner casing 2 whereby the width of the temperature regulator cover 4 is thinned and a receiving space is enlarged.
