Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform an efficient weak light radiation in a vegetable chamber of a refrigerator for the purpose of retaining freshness of green leaf vegetables.
SOLUTION: A weak light radiation device 26 having a semiconductor light emitting element 26c for radiating a visible light range wavelength light to vegetables stored in a housing container 26 is arranged within the vegetable chamber 17. According to this, a weak radiation effect by suppression of decomposition of chlorophyll can be given to the vegetables with a minimized heating value while suppressing a temperature rise in the vegetable chamber 17. Accordingly, the storage property of vegetables can be enhanced to retain nutritional components.
