Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately control a refrigerator with an ultraviolet lamp and a photo-deodorizing filter for performing the sterilization and deodorization.
SOLUTION: The refrigerator comprises the lamp for irradiating ultraviolet rays to a cold air duct and irradiating visible light inside the refrigerator, the photocatalyst filter mounted inside the duct for receiving the ultraviolet rays, a fan for forming an air curtain when a door of a refrigerator compartment is opened, and a control device for lighting the lamp when the door of the refrigerator compartment is opened. In another case, the refrigerator comprises the lamp for irradiating ultraviolet rays to the cold air duct and irradiating visible light to the refrigerator compartment, the photocatalyst filter mounted inside the duct for receiving the ultraviolet rays, an operation means for setting/ releasing the sterilization mode, and a control device for lighting the lamp at prescribed intervals when the sterilization mode is released and turning off the lamp when the door of the refrigerator compartment is opened.
