PURPOSE: To enable continuous throwing-in by providing a compressing function in a refuse box for collecting paper scraps.
CONSTITUTION: A refuse box 1 has a refuse throwing-in port 20 in front of a main body 10 and a refuse storing section being effective in compressing the refuse. A refuse storing container 50 accommodated in the main body 10 has a caster 52. A housing 15 is attached to the upper part of the main body 10, and equipped with a blower 70. The first and the second air bag 102, 104 are made to communicate with the intake and exhaust ports of the blower 70, and provided with a refuse compressing plate 110. When the air bags 102, 104 expand, they compress the refuse compressing plate 110 and paper scraps and reduce their volumes. When the compression for a fixed time ends, a vortex blower rotates reversely to make the air bags contract for returning them into their original state.
