To provide a refuse separation method which enables the efficient separation of refuse collected as incombustible refuse into incombustible refuse and combustible one with high accuracy and improves effective use of the refuse, and also provide a separation device used for the same.
A crushed material 12 through a sieve conventionally reclaimed as the incombustible refuse is sorted through wind power by a wind-powered sorter 3, and the combustible material including solid plastics is separated and recovered as a light material 14. Incombustible irons 17 are separated and recovered through a magnetic separator 6 from the crushed material 13 to be combustion-treated as the combustible material conventionally after separation from a nonferrous material.
