PURPOSE: To prevent foul odor from emitting from refuse, the refuse from scattering and the dog, cat and bird from searching about for food in a refuse pit in order to keep the refuse pit clean by a method wherein the sheet made of degradable polymer is placed over the refuse dumped into the refuse pit instead of covering with soil.
CONSTITUTION: The sheet 9 made of degradable polymer is placed over the refuse dumped into a refuse pit instead of covering with soil. The degradable polymer refers to the polymer caused to degrade by light or microorganisms. Ethylene-carbon monoxide (ethylene unsaturated compound) copolymer is preferable as the light degradable polymer and polycaprolactone is preferable as the microorganism degradable polymer taking into consideration cost, workability, disintegration character and initial film strength. This method prevents the refuse from scattering, odor from emitting therefrom and the dog, cat and bird from searching about for food in the refuse pit, whereby the refuse pit can be kept clean.
