Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject cellulosic fibers having excellent color fastness without significantly lowering fiber strength by adding specific polymer fine particles dyeable with a disperse dye to cellulosic fibers.
SOLUTION: The regenerated or solvent-spun cellulosic fibers comprise 1-40wt.% polymer fine particles dyeable with a disperse dye such as an acrylic polymer added thereto. The added polymer fine particles have 0.05-5μm average particle diameter and ≥110°C glass transition temperature (Tg) (temperature rising rate: 10C/min). Both of the cellulosic fibers and polyester fibers can simultaneously be dyed in the same dyeing bath with only the disperse dye.
