Title:
REGENERATING METHOD OF IRON @(3754/24)III) CHLORIDE SOLUTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2678836
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To regenerate waste liquid of iron (III) chloride containing metal ions without loss.
CONSTITUTION: Waste liquid of iron (III) chloride containing nickel ion is treated by reduction with hydrogen gas by using e.g. a reducing catalyst of a water- repellent material carrying platinum group metals. Then the reduced liquid is subjected to diffusion dialysis so as to diffuse the hydrochloric acid produced in the reduction stage into a solvent side to remove the hydrochloric acid. Then, iron scraps are added to the treated liquid to precipitate and isolate nickel and to produce iron (II) chloride. This iron (II) chloride and iron (II) chloride obtd. in the reducing stage are chlorinated to obtain iron (III) chloride. Since the iron (II) chloride in the reducing stage is produced by 1:1 ratio to iron (III) chloride, the regeneration magnification of iron (III) chloride can be suppressed at the end of this process to cause a minimization of the loss.
