Abstract:

PURPOSE: To regenerate a filter by carrying out heating in the state where the oxygen quantity for the combustion of the particulates in the filter is in a short state and combusting and removing the particulates by feeding the gas containing oxygen to the filter by the signal of the information of the temperature over the combustion temperature of the particulates.
CONSTITUTION: A regeneration control instruction is transmitted from a control part 15, and an exhaust gas valve 13 is controlled. When an internal combustion engine is in operation, exhaust gas is introduced into a bypass pipe. The particulate caught by a filter 3 is electric-induction-heated by microwaves. When the temperature of the particulate reaches a combustion-enabled temperature, the particulate is red-heated, but a baking-in-a-casserole state is generated because of the deficiency of oxygen. Then, valves 10 and 12 are opened, and a gas feeding means 7 operates to introduce the gas containing oxygen into a heating space 2. The high temperature particulate in the filter 3 is combusted and removed by the above-described gas. Accordingly, the optimum regeneration of the filter 3 independent of the state of the internal combustion engine can be executed.
