To provide a regeneration method regenerating a metal-sintered filter at a low cost.
Steam of temperature and pressure higher than saturated steam of 170°C is jetted to the inner peripheral face 31 of the metal-sintered filter 2 from an inner peripheral side thereof. Thus, in the metal-sintered filter 2, the jetted steam infiltrates from the vicinity of the inner peripheral face 31 deeply toward the outer peripheral side and permeates an outer peripheral face 32, thereby pushing out a foreign matter deeply infiltrated in a depth part while being separated from the inner peripheral face 31 or the outer peripheral face 32 toward the outer peripheral side of the metal-sintered filter 2. The steam of temperature and pressure higher than the saturated steam of 170°C can be generated by a known steam generation apparatus and can be obtained at a low cost. Thus the metal-sintered filter 2 can be regenerated at a low cost.
