Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a regeneration method of a used cutting oil composition for a fixed abrasive grain wire saw, the method being capable of easily separating a cutting powder in a high separation efficiency from a waste oil containing a used cutting oil composition and the cutting powder generated by cutting a silicon ingot to improve recyclability of the cutting oil composition.SOLUTION: A cutting oil composition before use contains a specific polyether compound (component A) of 25 mass% or more and 75 mass% or less, a specific surfactant (component B) of 1 mass% or more and 9 mass% or less, and water (component C). In a regeneration method of a used cutting oil composition for a fixed abrasive grain wire saw, a powder removing step for removing at least a cutting powder from a waste oil includes a step for separating the cutting powder in the waste oil in the pH range of 6.0 or more and 9.0 or less from other components in the waste oil.
