To improve further a collecting filter regeneration processing technology for burning and eliminating particulates collected by a collecting filter in an engine exhaust emission control device.
There is provided the engine exhaust emission control device 100 equipped with a collecting filter 14 for collecting the particulates in an exhaust gas, and a burning apparatus for burning the collected particulates. The engine exhaust emission control device 100 includes an air pimp 16 for feeding in burning air, an electric heater 23 for heating the burning air, a density sensor 19 for detecting at least one or the other of an oxygen density and carbon dioxide density of a gas at an outlet side of the collecting filter 14, and a control unit 50. In regenerating operation of the collecting filter 14, the control unit 50 stops heating of the electric heater 23, on the condition that a density difference between a detected value by the density sensor 19 and an initial detected value before a start of the regenerating operation becomes smaller than a predetermined judgment value.
