Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of a problem such as contact of a center plate or a casing with a rotor even if water enters a heat retention material.SOLUTION: A regenerative air preheater comprises: a rotor 3 including a heat transfer element 2 and rotating; a casing 6 provided to surround the rotor 3 with a clearance present from a circumferential outside of the rotor 3; sector plates 7 and 7' distanced from axial both ends of the rotor 3, respectively and extending in a radial direction of the rotor 3; and a heat retention material 14 arranged to surround opposite-to-rotor sides of the casing 6 and the sector plates 7 and 7'. A reversible desiccant 19 is arranged in the heat retention material 14 so as to correspond to the rotor 3.
