To provide a regenerative burner for preheating fuel gas with a simplified structure capable of effectively burning low calorietic value gas without the need of making a fuel gas opening/closing valve in a heat insulation structure and preventing a heat storage structure from being clogged.
A heat storage burner apparatus is adapted such that there are disposed a pair of regenerative burners Bra, Brb, each comprising burner sections 5a, 5b having fuel gas nozzles 2a, 2b and heat storage chambers 6a, 6b for containing therein heat storage structures 7a, 7b, and the pair of the heat storage burners alternately perform combustion and exhaust. In the apparatus, tube type heat exchangers 4a, 4b are disposed in the heat storage chamber of the heat storage burner, wherein fuel gas of the one heat storage chamber is supplied through a tube type heat exchanger disposed in the other heat storage chamber of the heart storage burner. There is further provided a preheating mechanism for fuel gas where valves Vc1, Vc2 provided in a fuel gas supply tube is on the primary side of the tube type heat exchanger.
