Abstract:
To provide a regeneration control system for an electric railway that can effectively use regenerative electric power even when part of power storage cells fails.SOLUTION: A regeneration control system for an electric railway includes a first power storage part, a first power conversion part, a monitoring part, a second power storage part, and a second power conversion part. The first power storage part includes a plurality of chargeable/dischargeable power storage cells. The first power conversion part is connected between the first power storage part and a feeder, and executes power conversion for the output power of the first power storage part. The monitoring part detects a failure of a power storage cell, disconnects the cell, and executes charge and discharge control for the first power storage part based on a control signal. A control part transmits the control signal to the monitoring part based on the output power of the first power storage part. The second power storage part supplies power to the control part and supplies power to the feeder under a predetermined condition. The second power conversion part executes conversion of power sent from one of the second power storage part and the first power conversion part to the other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
