To provide a heat storage type heat exchanger that can easily cancel the increase in pressure difference due to adhesion of fly ash, etc. onto a heat storage body without stopping operation of a combustion device such as industrial furnace, pulverized coal burning boiler applying high temperature air combustion techniques.
This heat storage type heat exchanger 5 comprises a container 50 of which inner part is divided into a combustion discharge gas passage space 7 and an air passage space 6 for combustion, and heat storage rotors 61, 62 rotating/moving between the combustion discharge gas passage space and the air passage space for combustion. The heat storage rotors comprise the first heat storage body 61 that can be regenerated by cleaning or replacing contained in the upstream side of the flow of combustion exhaust gas, and the second heat storage body 62 contained in the downstream side of the first heat storage body.
