To increase the refrigerating capacity of a regenerative refrigerator by opening, for a stepwise pressure variation, orifices in opening controlling means of a pressure communication part by which a regenerator and an expansion part communicate.
The regenerative refrigerator comprises a compressor 1 as a gas oscillating source, the regenerator 2 communicating with the compressor, a heat absorber 31 connected to the regenerator 2, and the expansion part 3 communicating with the heat absorber 31; and provides refrigeration in the heat absorber 31. Sectorial or rectangular orifices 102 and 103 in the opening controlling means of the pressure communication part 70 by which the regenerator 2 and the expansion part 3 communicate open to cause a stepwise pressure variation.
