PURPOSE: To change a display picture and to obtain finally the price of articles and the total of the prices by pressing a desired point or desired item in a picture displayed on a display device from the above of a touch panel.

CONSTITUTION: This system is provided with the picture display device, transparent touch panel provided on the screen of said device position coordinate detector and a position coordinate signal processor for a signal from the transparent touch panel, a storage device stored with article names and their prices, and a computer. For example, the transparent touch panel 2 is provided on the display screen 1a of the picture display device 1 and connected to the computer 4 through an interface 3 for the transparent touch panel, and the storage device 5 and picture display device 1 are connected to the computer 4. Then when the transparent touch panel 2 on the picture display device 1 which displays article names is pressed by a register operator with a finger, information on an article corresponding to the depression point is transmitted from the storage device 5 to the computer 4 to perform totalization.
