PURPOSE: To provide the registration control system of an electronic filing device matching the top and bottom of the read image data even in the case where source documents where the top and bottom unmatching exists in read source documents.

CONSTITUTION: This system enables the selection as to whether a both-side source document is registered or not by turning the rear surface by 180° at the time of starting a registration or by a source document sheet unit when the both-side source document is read and registered in an electronic filing device with which a source document reader which is capable of reading the both-side source document is connected. When the reading of the source document is performed for adding the original to an existing document or replacing the document with the source document, the selection as to whether the source document is registered or not is enabled by turning the rear surface by 180° at the time of starting the registration or by a source document sheet unit.
