Title:
REGRINDING MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05123948
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To accurately and satisfactorily regrind the corresponding cross-sectional part of a tool cutter by adjusting the feed speed of a support according to the gradient angle of a cross section to be reground.

CONSTITUTION: When a cross-sectional part extends at a steep gradient, the feed speed of a feed motor 15 is reduced. When the angle formed between the cross-sectional part and feed direction is small, the feed speed of the feed motor 15 can be increased accordingly. Such adjustments of the feed speed are made automatically. As a set amount, a force working on a copying finger 9 while it slips down the cross-sectional part 18 of a form 13 is taken into account and support speed in Y direction is taken into account on the basis of the evaluation of signals of a rotation detector 26. The steeper the gradient of the angle formed between the cross-sectional part rising in the feed direction X and the feed direction of the support 10, the greater the force working on the copying finger 9 from the form 13. The force urges a copying finger carrier 41 to rotate relative to a copying finger holding element 40.
