PURPOSE: To deliver a round can in a condition in which the orientation of the round can is safely held in a specified manner, by a method wherein a conveyor is provided with a magnetic zone and a rotation stopping means, and their cooperative action is utilized.
CONSTITUTION: The peripheral surface of a round can 1, entering a passage 9, which is guided by guide plates 4 and formed with a magnetic zone 5 and a brush zone 6, is magnetically adhered to the magnetic zone 5 immediately. Even after such magnetic adhesion, a thrust force, through which the round can 1 tends to be delivered out by means of a belt conveyor 3, is exerted on the round can 1,and thereby the round can 1 is conveyed within the passage 9 as it is rotated in the direction of an arrow mark B in a condition to bring the peripheral surface of the can into contact with the magnetic zone 5. When bristles 8 of the brush zone 6 are forced into contact with a seam part 2, formed on the peripheral surface of the round can 1, the rotational movement of the round can 1 is stopped through the action of the bristles 8. Thereafter, in a condition that the orientation of the seam part 2 present at a point of time when the rotation is stopped is held, the round can 1 is further conveyed within the passage 9 through the thrust force of the belt conveyor 3 to be delivered outside the passage 9.
