PURPOSE: To prevent deviation from desired characteristics at the time of fuse trimming by temporarily trimming according to data read in an IC, discovering a combination of fuse melts for obtaining desired characteristics and then cutting a fuse.

CONSTITUTION: A trimming data process A is input to a trimming data input pad 1, and input to a shift register 24. Trimming fuses 26-28 are respectively connected to trimming pads 3-5, and output signals C, D, E of inverters 13-15 become data input of a selector 25. Further, an inverted output signal F of the register 24 becomes data input of the selector 25. Accordingly, any of data signals C, D, E, F is selected by a trimming block signal B, and sent to an object 23 to be trimmed. Here, when a temporary trimming is conducted according to data stored in the register 24, characteristics after a fuse melt is not deviated from a desired standard.
