Abstract:
To obtain a regulator for flower bud formation by finding out an ingredient in which flower bud formation-regulating action is observed and using the same ingredient as an effective ingredient.
This regulator for flower bud formation contains an unsaturated fatty acid derivative expressed by general formula (1) (wherein A expresses a divalent group: HC=CH or H2C-CH2; R expresses H, methyl, ethyl, propyl or isopropyl; n expresses 1-10 integer) and having a flower bud formation- inhibiting action as an effective ingredient.
