Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforced aluminum composite member having high mechanical strength.SOLUTION: A reinforced aluminum composite member has a porous ceramic body constituted of whisker of aluminum borate, and having spinel as much as 1-20% in terms of a present amount to a surface area of the whisker, a magnesium-containing aluminum alloy press-fitted thereinto, and an anodic oxide film part of the aluminum alloy arranged on at least a part of the surface of the composite member.SELECTED DRAWING: None
