PURPOSE: To provide a reinforced resin composition having improved water resistance, and resistant to the whitening of the interface of glass fiber even when immersed in water, composed of a thermosetting resin composition having (meth)acryloyl group, reinforcing glass fiber, and an organic sulfonic acid.
CONSTITUTION: A reinforced resin composition composed of (A) a thermosetting resin composition composed of a monomer containing acryloyl group or methacryloyl group, e.g. a (meth)acrylic monomer such as methyl (meth)acrylate, and a monomer having a plurality of (meth)acryloyl groups such as ethyleneglycol di(meth)acrylate, and a catalyst for curing, (B) reinforcing glass fibers, and (C) an organic sulfonic acid of the formula R-SO3H (R is ≥6C hydrocarbon group or a residue of fatty acid derivative; R amounts to ≥12 wt% of the organic sulfonic acid), e.g. benzenesulfonic acid, α-sulfolauric acid, etc.
