PURPOSE: To strengthen soft ground by laying the ground reinforcing body formed by an upper plate and a plural row of hollow projecting walls, which are mounted so as to mutually run in parallel with the lower surface of the upper plate and downward shaped narrowly, onto the soft ground.

CONSTITUTION: A temporary road, etc. are constructed in such a manner that a plurality of the ground reinforcing bodies 10 are arranged onto the soft ground at proper intervals, and the adjacent ground reinforcing bodies are mutually connected by means of chains. When service cars, carts, etc. pass on the temporary road and load is applied to each ground reinforcing body 10, reaction from the ground and sliding frictional force along each projecting wall surface are applied to concave sections among several adjacent projecting wall 12, 13, 14, soil positioned at the sections is compacted and the ground is strengthened.
