PURPOSE: To improve a reinforcing and corrosion preventing effect by treating the corroded surface of an underwater structure by underwater sand blasting and adhering an underwater setting type epoxy resin compsn. into which short fiberous fibers are incorporated in a dispersed state to the treated surface thereof.
CONSTITUTION: The corroded surface of the underwater structure made of metals is treated by underwater sand blasting. The underwater setting type epoxy resin compsn. into which the short fibers of carbon fibers, etc., are dispersed as the fibers to be incorporated is adhered to the treated surface. As a result, the treatment which is easy to use and has high reinforcing strength and durability is executed in a short period to repair the corroded part of the underwater structure, by which the reinforcing and corrosion preventing effect is improved.
