Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcing structure for a vehicle body enhanced in the stiffness of a joint part of a side sill inner and a cross member and the reinforcing structure for the vehicle body enhanced in the stiffness of the vehicle body in the lateral direction against a side collision load.
SOLUTION: The extended surface part 2h of the cross member 2 is jointed to the bottom surface part 1c of the side sill inner 1 to keep the bottom surface part 1c of the side sill inner 1 and the bottom surface part 2b of the cross member 2 in the same plane. The horizontal piece part 3b of a tie-down bracket 3 is jointed to the bottom surface part 2b of the cross member 2 and the vertical piece part 3a of a tie-down bracket 3 is jointed to the side surface part 1b of the side sill inner 1. Accordingly, the stiffness of the joint part of the side sill inner 1 and the cross member 2 is improved by the tie-down bracket 3. Since the bottom surface part 1c of the side sill inner 1 and the bottom surface part 2b of the cross member 2 are kept in the same plane, the stiffness of the vehicle body in the lateral direction against the side collision load is improved.
