PURPOSE: To measure the fixed point at the sea bottom and the position of a ship thereabove having a waveform shaping circuit which draws out only the linear portions of the signal waveforms having been generated by the electronagmetic induction action of a circular pickup coil and grid coils.
CONSTITUTION: Since the target value voltage erx and feedback voltage signal erx become both zero, the deviation voltage x becomes also zero and the movement of a moving device 32 stops. When the movement stops, again the signal of an automatic scanning signal generating part 36 is produced and this causes a grid changeover electromagnetic rotary switch 35 and a grid position discriminating electromagnetic rotary switch 35 to actuate and find the grid coil where the center of the pickup coil exists, where the changeover operation of the electromagnetic rotary switch stops.
