Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relay device which is provided between a receiving device such as a digital television or the like and a rendering device to give an incentive to viewing records of programs, thereby enhancing the added value of the rendering device.SOLUTION: A relay device includes a program viewing performance record management unit for managing a performance record such as a viewing frequency and a viewing time for each program, a program additional data acquisition unit for acquiring and managing program additional data appended to a program, a rendering device connection unit for discovering and pairing rendering devices, a rendering device interlocking operation unit for issuing an interlocking operation command to the rendering device, and a rendering execution unit for performing a rendering operation together with the rendering device by using the program additional data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
