Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a relay device applicable to a system where power can be supplied to a load by at least two power storage sections, and capable of detecting an abnormality more accurately, upon occurrence of such an abnormality as open failure in the path of any one power storage section.SOLUTION: A control unit 12 provided in a relay device 10 functions as a changeover control section, and when the current value goes below a predetermined threshold in any one of a first conducting path 51 and a second conducting path 52, turns a relay (any one of the first relay 41 and second relay 42) placed in that path OFF. Furthermore, the control unit 12 functions as a determination section, and when one relay is turned OFF, determines whether or not a voltage value detected by a voltage detector (any one of the first voltage detector 21 and second voltage detector 22) in the path of the relay that was turned OFF is less than a predetermined voltage threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
