To provide a relay socket which can lower its whole unit cost and reduce its width in the direction parallel to the axial direction of a rail.
The relay socket is provided with an insertion hole 5b for inserting a lead line in the perpendicular direction and an insertion hole 5a for inserting a lead line in the oblique direction. These insertion holes 5a and 5b are arranged such that a straight line connecting their center points is in the oblique direction against the attachment direction 4 of a rail. The main body 1 of the relay socket has a terminal block arranged to make contact with each lead line, and a contact unit having a contact spring for bringing each lead line into contact with the terminal block.
