Abstract:

To provide a relay carrier capable of easily taking out a sheet abnormal in transport regardless of sheet size by suppressing the restriction in design without lowering the operability.SOLUTION: A relay carrier 4 comprises: an apparatus body 40; a relay transport path that transports a sheet within the apparatus body 40; a transport roller pair that delivers the sheet on the relay transport path in a predetermined transport direction; a transport guide that guides a transport of the sheet on the relay transport path; a first operation member 63 that releases the relay transport path in an open position and operates a movement of the transport roller pair and the transport guide; a second operation member 64 that if an abnormality of sheet transport occurs on the relay transport path, operates the rotation of the transport roller pair in a manner delivering the sheet to the open position; and an inner cover 45 that covers the relay transport path at a front of the apparatus body 40. The inner cover 45 has a first opening 46a and a second opening 46b as two or more openings 46 formed in sizes allowing for taking out different sizes of sheets respectively and arranged corresponding to the open position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
